Am I A Good Candidate for Microblading?
You're a good candidate for microblading if you want thick brows that last whether you're wearing makeup or not. This form of cosmetic tattooing or permanent makeup can correct many different aesthetic concerns, like enhancing brow thickness, filling in sparse areas, and creating a more defined brow shape with realistic hair strokes. Your skin type may determine how long your results last, so your technician will discuss what you can expect if you have oily skin during your initial session.
What Should I Expect?
Microblading, also called eyebrow embroidery, nano brow, or cosmetic tattooing, uses a hand tool or single needle to implant semi-permanent pigment beneath the skin. The goal is to enhance brow shape, thickness, and fullness while maintaining a natural appearance that complements your skin tone and hair color. Treatment begins with a discussion of your intended look with our experienced and certified cosmetic tattoo artists.
Your ideal pigment color (based on your natural hair color, skin tone, and more) will be selected, as well as the right shape for your face. Your natural brow area will be cleaned, and your technician will create fine eyebrow hair-like strokes over the eyebrow area. There is minimal pain involved throughout the entire procedure, and it does not impact the hair follicle; most patients are able to easily achieve fuller brows without the use of a topical numbing cream.
Results and Recovery
Microblading results will appear darker and more defined right after your initial session, as the pigment settles into the brow area. This is a normal part of the healing process. Over the next two weeks, the microbladed brows will fade into a softer, more natural look with realistic, hair-like strokes. Factors such as oily skin, skin type, and aftercare can affect how well the pigment retains its shape. Individuals with oily skin types may notice the strokes blur more quickly.
With routine touch-ups, microblading results can last 1–2 years. Factors like medical conditions, traditional tattoos, or improper aftercare may affect your outcome, so following your cosmetic tattoo artist’s guidance is key to achieving and maintaining perfect brows.
